Container used for architectural design of modular tools, itself has a low-carbon, low-cost, short construction time, can be disassembled and transported and other characteristics, and at the same time by the space, materials and other objective conditions of the limitations of the container building design should be fully considered in the container modular tools of the advantages and shortcomings of the container, and maximize the use of its structural advantages.

　　First of all, the container building unit is easy to transport and can be relocated as a whole, and the container combination building is easy to assemble and disassemble, especially suitable for the type of building that needs to be replaced for a limited period of time;

     Secondly, this kind of building is sturdy and durable, the main structural unit consists of high-strength steel, sturdy and durable with strong seismic, pressure and deformation resistance;

     Third, good sealing performance, strict manufacturing process so that this movable building has good water tightness;

     Fourth, the container building based on the overall box-type steel structure above, can be derived by means of splicing and combining a rich combination of space. Such as office space, residential space, and even large span space and so on;

     Fifth, the weight of the structure is lighter than that of concrete and brick-concrete structures, and the construction requires less energy consumption, as well as superior performance, stability and firmness, and excellent anti-seismic performance.

     Sixth, most of the components of the container building can be recycled for secondary use, greatly reducing the generation of construction waste, low-carbon and environmental protection.

Container buildings can generally be divided into three forms:  

1. buildings transformed by container boxes;

2. container box body combination of buildings;

3. container box body (and its components) and other structures together with the structural role of the building.

The article mainly focuses on the design of single-box container remodeling and container box combination building design.

      Containers used in different building models, it represents a different functional attributes, indoor layout is not the same. Used for living room design is more commonly used, the main module includes kitchen, bathroom, writing desk and storage space and other components. The kitchen and bathroom are limited by the pattern of piping structure, and it is difficult to change the position during the use process, so they play a key role in constraining the functional layout of the interior. Based on the spatial attributes of these two parts and the location of the entrance, a qualitative analysis of the container interior plan can be done. Taking the indoor space of a 20-foot container house as an example, the layout statistics and analysis of the indoor space are carried out respectively.
